Week 25: Mutual Aid, Filipino Punk, Toki Pona

The gazebo that we were in while distributing food

Tagalog Version

Food Not Bombs

I’ve been reading a lot about mutual aid recently, and I’ve been thinking about how I could participate in one. Food Not Bombs kept on coming up in the mutual aid articles that I’ve been reading, so I looked into them and it turns out that there’s a chapter very close to me.

I volunteered for the first time last week! It was a lot of work, but it was fulfilling. Feels good to give food for free.

Filipino Punk

I’ve barely listened to any punk before, but now that I’ve gotten into anti-capitalism and anarchism, I think it’s resonating with me more. Here are some filipino punk albums that I’ve come across this week:

Toki Pona

I’ve been learning toki pona as well! It’s such a cute language with less than 200 words, but it’s still difficult to learn! (at least for me) I’m definitely struggling with the grammar part.

I’m currently going through lipu sona pi toki pona and some YouTube videos.
